Church Postcards
Digital Illustration // Print Design // Font Editing
As a Madisonian cradle Catholic, the historic Catholic churches around the city have always been dear to my heart. Both the city’s and the churches’ beauty and personal significance drove me to share them with the world.

Line Art
Inspired by Madison’s college scene, I used bright bold colors and graphic painting style to shine these old churches in a new and modern light. Yet, I respected their traditions by not straying too far into an abstract style. As a nod to the divine, I highlighted God’s artistic work in nature and in the sky. Sweeping impressionistic clouds and trees frame these buildings, revealing the hidden supernatural reality housed within them.
Tying it together, I used the font Market Pro to title each postcard. I customized the letter forms to each name. I finished it off using an ill-fitting stroke to match the sketchy line art of each painting.
